If you thought the MacBook Pro had a rather run-of-the-mill design, you will be pleased to learn that Apple has reinvented the MacBook Pro with a fresh new sleek design, brighter display, and serious graphics. What's more is the new MacBook Pro has borrowed some of the design features of the MacBook Air.

MacBook Pro Design

• Unibody Casing: The new version of the MacBook Pro has an updated aluminum design that offers substantial quality in a razor thin casing. Thanks to a new innovation in manufacturing, the MacBook Pro casing in made from a single piece of metal which is known as a unibody which makes it more resistant to damage.

  The new MacBook Pro is just a tad heavier than the previous Pro model by about 0.1 ounce. With a solid casing, the MacBook Pro measure at 14.4 x 9.8 x 0.95 inches and weighs in at 5.5 pounds depending on size. This model is available in 15-inch and 17-inch LED backlit display panels.

Keyboard and Track Pad

• Sturdy Keyboard: As if the unibody structure is not enough, the keyboard casing also includes substantial aluminum that has been cut to precision to provide a sturdy encasement for the keyboard. The keyboard also contains the nifty illumination feature that is present on other Macs and adjusts according the light setting in your surroundings.

• Where the Trackpad Button?: If you are looking for the trackpad button, look no longer because the entire trackpad is the button and allows you to click anywhere on the smooth glass surface. Use two fingers for scrolling, pinch it to zoom in and out, rotate an image with your fingers, and swipe your fingers to accomplish a variety of movements including switching applications. You can even configure a section of the trackpad specifically for right clicking.

Connectivity and Ports

The MacBook Pro provides three USB ports and a FireWire 800 port for connecting the peripherals. It also contains a nifty little feature that automatically recognizes a peripheral upon connection so you do not have to install new drivers.

The MacBook Pro also provides for any peripherals that have a cable making it iPod and iPhone ready, as well as capable of connecting a digital camera or external hard drive.

You cannot do without the latest in wireless technology that MacBook Pro provides with an 802.11n wireless capability. The MacBook Pro automatically locates available Wi-Fi connections and allows you to log on with one click. And of course, who can do without Bluetooth for plugging in all of your nifty wireless devices?

Inside the new MacBook Pro is a monster Intel Core 2 Duo processor that operates at up to 2.93 GHz and originates from 45-nm proves technology and advanced Core4 microarchitecture. Now the MacBook Pro runs application with lightning speed thanks to the add 1066MHz frontside bus and 6 MB of shared L2 cache.

The MacBook Pro is capable of sustaining up to 8 GB of 1066MHz DDR3 memory and contains a spacious 320 GB hard drive to store all of your computing applications and files. The DVD drive contains an 8x SuperDrive for burning DVDs and the MacBook Pro is completely upgradeable when it comes to the memory and the hard drive.

Prices for the MacBook Pro hover around $2300 for a device that is also considered the greenest MacBook Pro ever made by Apple. All components are from recycled material and the notebook is designed with environmental conservation in mind.
